well-designed 19th century american aesthetic movement residential parlor room sliding or pocket door mortise lock designed and fabricated by the hopkins & dickinson mfg. co., new york city, ny. the mortise lock retains the original and fully functional push button and sliding handle or pull. the highly ornate cast bronze face plate retains the original baked black enameled inlay to bolster the design. measure approximately 7 3/4 x 1 1/8 x 3 3/4 inches.
