original late 19th century american eastlake style "broken leaf" pattern sliding door mortise lock designed and fabricated by the lockwood manufacturing co., south norwalk, conn. the pocket door mortise lock retains the original sliding yellow brass handle and push button used to release the handle outward. the faceplate has been refinished. measures approximately 1 1/4 x 6 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches.
