pair of all original late 19th century antique american finely crafted solid oak wood interior residential staircase newel post caps or finials designed and fabricated by the foster-munger co., chicago, il. the pyramidal-shaped newel caps features deeply grooved allover leafage on all four sides. the solid oak wood finials were salvaged from a chicago graystone residence undergoing demolition. traces of the original varnished finish remains intact. measure 5 x 5 x 5 1/2 inches. priced for the pair.
