pair of original 19th century american antique ornamental cast bronze "falmouth" pattern interior residential pocket door escutcheons designed and fabricated by the reading hardware company, reading, pa. the two oversized rectangular-shaped sliding door backplates feature a deeply grooved "sunburst' design motif. likely fabricated during the early 1890's. the backplates contains elongated oval-shaped recessed "cup" handles designed to pulls the doors from their "pockets." priced for the pair. salvaged from a chicago graystone constructed around 1893. 8 x 2.5"
