early 1940's unique and crudely made single-sided hand-painted "wall clock" discovered hanging in a prominent chicago foundry outbuilding. fabricator not known. the clock is comprised of a wood board and protruding shelf with a brightly painted yellow background. the clock face is finished in a midnight blue. discoloration, dirt and surface wear evident. the exact purpose of the clock sign and/or the fixed time is not known. unusual american industrial folk art. measures 18 x 21 x 6 inches.
