original and intact freestanding c. 1940's american vintage industrial multi-drawer pressed and folded steel filing cabinet salvaged from an old chicago tribune distribution plant office. the 10-drawer cabinet is equipped with single fanciful pressed yellow brass handles or pulls, flanked by opposed label or placard holders. a large knob mounted in the top right corner releases the locking mechanism on the drawers. the long and narrow spacious storage compartment are suitable for a wide assortment of "smalls." the cabinet is comprised of heavy gauge pressed and folded steel that has been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. great overall condition. the upright storage cabinet was fabricated by the remington rand, library bureau division, elmira, new york. measures 14 x 25 1/8 x 51 inches
