very attractive and finely executed original 19th century american exterior residential facade keystone element featuring a downward-looking winged cherub set in deep relief. the exceptional hand-carved figural limestone cherub was salvaged from a chicago graystone residence built around 1891. the structure has since been demolished. the stonework was executed by the bedford steam works, bedford, ind. nicely weathered surface patina from prolonged exposure to the elements. measures 14 x 15 x 12 inches.
