hard to find c.1850's vibrantly colored green emerald glass iron-pontiled mineral water bottle manufactured for boyd & beard, located in boston, massachusetts. the "pony-shaped" bottle body features crisply embossed lettering reading "boyd & beard" and "mineral water" and an applied tapered lip. the base has a slight domed kick up, and some iron residue from its manufacture. the glass surface shows some typical wear for its age in the form of scratches on the exterior, and debris on the inside of the privy-dug bottle. the bottler established his operation in 1844.
