finely crafted early 20th century antique american victorian era leaded stained or art glass residential transom window possibly fabricated by the foster-munger company, chicago, il. the window features a centrally located palmette or floral motif flanked by elegantly designed scrollwork. multiply richly colored ruby red glass jewels are used for accent. the subtle colored cathedral glass with rippled textures surrounding the design elements is quite pleasing and allows for the variegated palmette to stand out. the residential transom window was salvaged from a chicago graystone residence constucted around 1901-05. the mitered joint varnished wood frame is structurally sound and stable. measures approximately 38 3/4 x 1 x 17 inches.
