exceptional oversized and well-proportioned quarter-sawn oak wood interior residential console or pier mirror fabricated by or for the wood mantel manufacturers credit association, chicago, ills. the original oversized glass was executed by the tyler & hippach. the salvaged chicago console was assembled september 3rd, 1909. the quartered oak wood retains the original varnished finish. the two towering oak wood pilasters are accentuated with gesso ornament. very clean and simple design and form.
