gargantuan c. 1890's original and intact american victorian wall-mount interior residential console or pier mirror recently salvaged from a chicago mansion undergoing extensive renovations. the oversized pier mirror is comprised of solid mahogany wood with the original darkly stained finish. the incredibly heavy solid plate glass beveled edge mirror is original and intact. the console contains two sets of flanking diminutive columns with richly ornate capitals. the protruding seat or ledge is supported in part by a centrally located corbel or bracket mounted along the underside. the pier mirror was designed and fabricated by the northwestern grille works, chicago, il. measures approximately 63 x 10 x 105 inches.
