impressive antique american eastlake style ornamental cast brass banded edge doorknob. exact fabricator unknown. features a nice arrangement of abstract floral motifs surrounding a central rosette. the dome-shaped doorknob contains a baked black enameled inlay used to accentuate the casting detail. naturally aged, uniform surface patina. design ornament carries over on the backside of the doorknob. likely dates to 1885. measures approximately 2 1/8 inches in diameter.
