remarkably intact depression era downtown chicago hotel front desk "please register" cast bronze informational sign possibly fabricated by the garden city hardware mfg. co., chicago, il. the diminutive cast bronze sign is affixed to a solid walnut wood base with an angled or slanted front. the weighted base is likely original to the bronze sign. the long and narrow sign features embossed lettering and border with a nicely aged patina. the recessed area retains the original baked black enameled finish.
