early 20th century vintage american industrial single-sided solid bronze "water" boiler gauge plaque salvaged from a railroad steam locomotive. the exact fabricator is not known. contains deeply embossed lettering with two opposed screw holes for mounting purposes. nicely aged surface patina. measures approximately 8 x 2 inches.
