c. 1900-10 fully functional antique american medical adjustable height stationary stool with a bent steel three-legged base. the adjustable swivel seat with threaded steel rod contains a uniform brushed and sanded bare metal finish. the surgeon stool was manufactured by the sharp & smith co., specializing in surgical instruments, deformity apparatus and surgeons' appliances. the fanciful curvaceous tubular legs are reinforced with an all-welded joint heel ring. this stool does not retain the original stamped brass manufacturer plaque. great overall condition. secure welded joints throughout.
