all original and completely intact american depression era structurally sound and robust chicago fulton market butcher shop "prep" table likely fabricated by john boos & co., effingham, il. the oversized butcher block table contains a solid maple wood slab tabletop supported by heavy gauge tubular steel legs. the undersides of each tabletop corner features unique riveted joint bent and folded steel guard plates or brackets couples with angled steel rod stretchers. the spacious undershelf is comprised of galvanized sheet steel. the metal base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the original rock hard maple wood top has been lightly sanded and sealed. great overall condition. measures 72 x 30 1/4 x 33 inches.
