nicely worn and weathered reinforced c. 1940's american vintage industrial cantilevered mobile shelving rack or unit designed and fabricated by the hamilton tool company, hamilton, oh. the oversized shelving unit was salvaged from an old chicago steam boiler works factory shortly after closing. the slotted rack is comprised of heavy gauge angled steel. both the rack and detachable or movable shelves are supported by a weighted solid steel platform or deck containing six heavy duty double-wheel swivel trucks that were likely fabricated by bassick. each angled front shelf with opposed drop handles has been lightly cleaned and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the slightly angled and notched rack and base received the same surface treatment. great overall condition.
