desirable original and unrestored american depression-era oversized unusually-shaped red porcelain enameled cold-rolled steel reflector designed and fabricated by the revere electric company, chicago, il. the "angled type" reflector is mounted to a cast metal pivoting joint bracket with pyramidal-shaped post finial. the socket housing and bracket retain the original, or at the very least, old red paint with a nicely distressed finish. the rolled rim reflector was originally mounted on a sign post at a chicago area filling station. the diameter and depth of the elongated reflector bowl, along with position of the filament and location of the neck, were selected to throw practically any and all light within the 0 to 90 degree angle. the fixture retains the original, high grade white porcelain weatherproof socket and lamp grip. good overall condition, considering age and prolonged exposure to the elements. oval fixture measures 22 inches x 14 inches. fixture height measures approximately 20 inches.
