matching pair of original c. 1930's american art deco style fully adjustable height freestanding machine age floor lamps possibly fabricated by will ross inc., milwaukee, wisc. the matching reading lamps contain visually distinctive stepped or tapered deep bowl steel reflectors or shades with rolled rims. the bent tubular arms move up and down along the vertical post or rod with a simple friction joint to tighten the lamp to its desired height. the disc-joint mounted against the shade allows it to swivel to any desired angle. the grooved steel tubular metal surrounding the rods supporting the curved arms are in great condition. the weighted cast iron bases are concealed by turned and tapered cover plates. both reading lamp fixtures have been brushed own to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. priced for the pair.
