largely intact american industrial low-lying side table containing early 20th century curvaceous cabriole style legs designed and fabricated by the chicago hardware foundry company, chicago, il. the decorative cast iron legs can easily be removed and incorporated into some other project or design application. the legs fastened to thin metal stretchers and a pressed and folded sheet steel apron designed to support a tabletop. with the addition of a wood, glass or metal top, the stationary rectangular-shaped base can be used as a side table or display stand. the additional components have been brushed down (in the same manner of the legs) to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 42 x 19 x 24 inches.
