refinished antique american depression era industrial freestanding chicago factory office coat rack designed and fabricated by the globe-wernicke co., cincinnati, oh. the heavy gauge tubular steel utilitarian coat rack has been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a cleat coat lacquer. the single pole contains raised edges with slightly sunken centers and a pyramidal style top or finial. the four cast brass double hooks are original and intact. the four-legged x-shaped base is structurally sound and stable. base measures 20 x 20 and 69 inches in height.
