robust original c. 1920's american antique industrial rock hard solid maple wood butcher block tabletop salvaged long ago from a commercial kitchen housed within the historic downtown chicago blackstone hotel. the nicely worn oversized butcher block table is reinforced with multiple concealed through bolts to prevent the sectional wood from splitting. the original nickel-plated brass metal name plaque is prominently displayed along the front edge. the butcher block top was fabricated by or for the alex janows & co., chicago, ill. measures 40 x 3 x 30 inches.
