completely refurbished original late 1930's american antique american industrial heavy gauge tubular steel "localite" triple-joint task lamp designed and fabricated by the fostoria pressed steel corp., fostoria, oh. the pressed and formed steel articulating lamp contains the large parabola-shaped rolled rim reflector-shade with integrated socket housing. the on/off toggle switch and socket are in great working condition. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the industrial table lamp has been completely rewired and is ready for immediate use. the single light fixture was likely mounted to a factory machine shop lathe or workbench. fostoria began producing the "localite" (in various configurations) beginning in 1918. the ball-and-socket joints are in good working condition. several variations available. the lamp is firmly welded on a customized weighted base consisting of repurposed solid steel gears. base diameter 8 inches, arm extends 15 inches, height 28 inches
