unique single fully refinished c. 1920's antique american industrial custom-built folded and pressed reinforced galvanized steel pipefitter tool chest salvaged from an old chicago valve component and steam gauge factory. the reinforced oversized toolbox contains a riveted joint lockable hasp with old padlock. the turncast iron and steel sargent brand drop handle is mounted firmly in place. the dome-shaped hinged-top retains the original brazed joint name plaque containing deeply incised initials. the cabinet's spacious interior has been thoroughly cleaned. the tool chest retains the original compartmentalized tray for parts. welded joint steel straps were employed to reinforce the bottom edges and corners. the chest has been refinished and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 20 x 11 x 14 inches.
