original weathered c. 1930's american depression era cherry red porcelain or vitreous enameled deep bowl chicago service station reflector designed and fabricated by or for the goodrich electric company, chicago, il. the single light fixture contains a distinctive bulbous-shaped shade with cylindrical socket housing for use with a weather-resistant ceramic socket and "type c" mazda lamp. the rolled rim reflector is supported by a single tubular threaded steel stem or pipe originally mounted above the station's gas pump island. the porcelain enameled finish remains in good condition, considering age. shade measures 10 inches in diameter x 11 inches in length, entire fixture is 37 1/2 inches in length.
